After a hike we were starving. My wife loves good Mexican food and I am always in search of good fish tacos. We weren’t sure about the place since it sits in Cool, CA, a beautiful rural area but small enough that if you blink you can miss it. After the lunch, we both agreed we’d drive back to Cool just to eat at this restaurant. Friendly and quick service. Delicious food!

Poor customer service from the only waitress in this location. At first glance, I thought it was due to it being busy, but no, customer service is the most important thing when doing what you do when running a restaurant. I don’t understand why you’d have to remind her about an item you ordered twice and never received that item. This, unfortunately, ruined my dining experience here for the remainder of my trips. She won’t ever get a tip from me again. Luckily the food is excellent, but not your service. She is lucky I don’t own this place because she would be looking for a new place to work. She seems unhappy with her work idkjs🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️Los Establos hire a better person with a good attitude 🍾🥂

Yummy carnitas burritos and street tacos. Has serve yourself frozen yogurt too. One of our favorite places to go. I had the shrimp zucchini boat tonight and boy was it delicious. Nice, friendly counter service. We’re lucky to have this place to go to up here on the divide.

I’ve eaten there 3 times first 2 times burritos were great stuffed with meat,this last time little to no meat all beans couldn’t even taste any meat opened it up only found a few shards of meat.We bought 3 carnitas burritos all of them same way ate about third of it and threw them away.We are never going back waste of 45 dollars.Avoid this place like plague rip offs.

Drove through Cool looking for a place to buy a t-shirt saw the Mexican cafe,had to try out the street tacos ,very good, our server was friendly she also recommended the feed store around the corner for a t-shirt, I’m from the Placerville area and I will definitely be going back.

Alright, so for 2 FOH (probably 2 BOH too) and me picking up at prime dinner rush, they killed it! The Taco Salad is stacked!! Got ground beef (gotta test the waters).. and 11 and change out the door? I’m a happy camper.
Fast delivery, solid prices for the portions… in house made ingredients. Got a few green/tomatillo sauces (some salads get dry real fast). Only sniff is the FREE salsa I was given when asked. So no qualms whatsoever.

Wanted to get my foot in the door with basics before I go full bore and explore more.

I would give 10 stars if I could! Always the nicest staff abs the absolute best, freshest and most authentic Mexican food you will ever eat! I have been all over, like Johnny Cash’s “I’ve been everywhere man” and this is right up there with the berry best Mexican food anywhere. And it’s served up by the greatest folks around! I met Ashton tonight, who was delivering orders next door to the Millstone Saloon. He had the kitchen add something to my plate that wasn’t even on the menu!

Some of the best Mexican food in the area hands down. I’ve been going here a few years now, and I’m normally a very happy customer. There is the occasional off day, I’ll grant them that, but it’s just two people mainly running the place with a couple employees. I feel like everyone is due there off day. Food is always super fresh and made to order and the lady’s running the joint are very pleasant. As a long time local, it’s definitely a treat at a reasonable price, and I hope they stay for a long long time.

Really amazing food and wonderful service, the staff are friendly and hardworking. I spend all day looking forward to getting mouth watering tacos. The baja fish and chicken street tacos (I add her green sauce to mine YUM!!) are my favorite things on the menu. Absolutely delicious! Support local!!

Stop by on my way home and dined in having a combo plate of enchilada, taco with some chips and salsa and flushed it down with a light beer. Prices are good and the personnel are great. Especially like talking to the table guy “Bob” who has a lot of knowledge of the local area and people.

This is a great place to drop in. My hubby and I have special food requirements, and the staff are very accommodating. More important, everything is delicious, and the kids can find options they like too. They added froyo and that’s really good too. The people care, which you can tell by the steady flow of customers coming in and out of the building.

Best Mexican in Cool. What makes it the best? The owners truly care about the clients. For me, I want to spend my dollar where they remember me the second time I come in and say hello with the smile on their face. The care for the clients also shows in the quality of the food. Some of the items are prepared differently than I am accustomed, but that variety is what I like.

The beef burrito i ordered for lunch was larger than I anticipated, and tasted better than I’d hoped. I’m on the road a lot of the time and I’ll make it a point to make it a regular stop when I’m in the area. Good food, reasonable priced, and quick excellent customer service.
